A Higher Standard of Vintage Pokémon Collecting.
At Holotrove, we believe vintage Pokémon cards are more than collectibles. They’re pieces of childhood nostalgia, beautifully preserved artwork and treasured fragments of Pokémon history.
Exceptional quality is at the heart of everything we do. We specialise in sourcing the finest vintage Pokémon cards, prioritising Near Mint to Mint condition and carefully selecting examples that meet our high standards.
From the original Base Set (1999) through to EX Deoxys (2005), our extensive collection spans 21 classic English sets, alongside 1st Edition treasures, Japanese exclusives and rare promotional releases.
Whether you’re searching for a beautifully preserved childhood favourite, completing a vintage master set, acquiring a premium graded collectible or selling a treasured collection, we combine specialist knowledge with a personal, transparent approach.
Founded in Scotland by Scott Taylor, Holotrove is built on a simple philosophy: exceptional cards, honest valuations and a collecting experience worthy of the treasures themselves.
Our Private Virtual Showroom
At Holotrove, we believe exceptional collectibles deserve an equally exceptional level of care.
With vintage Pokémon cards becoming increasingly valuable and specialist retailers facing growing security concerns, we’ve made the deliberate decision to operate primarily online rather than through a traditional high-street store.
Many of the rare and beautifully preserved cards we handle are difficult, and sometimes virtually impossible, to replace. Protecting these treasures is a responsibility we take seriously, ensuring they can be enjoyed by collectors for generations to come.
But operating online doesn’t mean sacrificing the personal experience of visiting a specialist collector’s shop.
Through our private virtual showroom, collectors can arrange personalised video appointments to explore our extensive vintage inventory, examine individual cards in greater detail, discuss condition and pricing, and receive knowledgeable guidance before making a purchase.
Whether you’re looking to expand a cherished childhood collection or acquire an exceptional high-value collectible, our private showroom offers a personalised experience tailored to your interests and collecting goals.
Exceptional collectibles. Personal service. Wherever you are in the world.
A Collector’s Eye for Quality.
Holotrove was founded by Scott Taylor, bringing together a passion for vintage Pokémon, an appreciation for exceptional artwork and a commitment to sourcing some of the world’s rarest and finest examples of these nostalgic collectibles.
With a degree in the creative arts, Scott’s artistic background has cultivated a keen eye for detail and a deep appreciation for visual composition, craftsmanship and preservation — qualities that translate naturally into his work with vintage Pokémon collectibles.
This artistic foundation complements his meticulous approach to card assessment, cleaning, restoration and preservation.
With vintage Pokémon, the smallest details can make an extraordinary difference.
From treasured childhood collections and complete vintage master sets to exceptionally rare graded collectibles, Scott has developed extensive hands-on experience in sourcing, assessing and preparing cards for professional grading.
Through his work with PSA, BGS and CGC, he has gained a practical understanding of the nuances of vintage card condition, grading and the importance of careful preservation.
For Scott, a beautifully preserved vintage Pokémon card represents more than its market value — it’s a piece of artistic and cultural history worth treasuring.
That philosophy shapes Holotrove’s commitment to exceptional quality, transparent service and personalised collecting experiences.
But Scott’s ambitions extend beyond vintage Pokémon, with a wider vision to bring imagination, nostalgia and memorable experiences into the real world.
A Vision Beyond Collecting...
Holotrove forms part of a wider entrepreneurial vision built around nostalgia, imagination and exceptional experiences.
Alongside Holotrove, founder Scott Taylor is developing Saberwars Arena — an immersive entertainment experience bringing the excitement of fully armoured lightsaber combat into the real world.
Whether it’s igniting your inner Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader, rediscovering the Pokémon cards you treasured growing up, or acquiring a rare collectible you’ve always dreamed of owning, both ventures share a common purpose: bringing people closer to the worlds they’re passionate about.
Because some passions are simply too special to leave in childhood.
Collect Without Borders
Our passion for vintage Pokémon extends far beyond the UK. We proudly offer worldwide shipping, connecting collectors across the globe with exceptional vintage cards that can be increasingly difficult to find.
From carefully protected individual cards to valuable graded collectibles, every international order is prepared with the same attention to detail, with insured shipping options appropriate to the value of your purchase.
Combined with our private virtual showroom, collectors can explore our inventory, examine cards through personalised video appointments and purchase with confidence — wherever they’re based.
Exceptional collectibles. Personal service. Worldwide delivery.
